Years of smoking, teeth grinding, and poor dental hygiene can really take a toll on your teeth. At Anderson Rumpca Dental, we can restore your smile to its former glory with a variety of simple, effective treatments. Remember, if you require a lot of treatment or are uneasy about seeing the dentist, all procedures discussed below can be performed with sedation dentistry.
Crowns and Bridges
We are able to permanently restore damaged or decayed teeth with crowns and in the case of missing teeth, bridges. These restorations are cemented onto the teeth and are referred to as "fixed" dentistry (as opposed to a removable appliance or partial denture).
A crown is a synthetic cap for a tooth which restores its original form and function. At Anderson Dental, we offer same day crowns. Our state of the art Cerec machine allows us to create precise color-matched ceramic crowns for you in just one visit, saving you time and money! For more information, see our page on Same Day Crowns.
Bridges, often called "fixed partial dentures," are custom-made, permanent appliances which bridge any gaps in your smile caused by missing teeth. They restore not only the contour of your smile but the integrity of your bite as well.
Dentures & Partials
All of our dentures (full and partial) are custom-made from a lightweight, synthetic material that mimics the look and feel of real teeth while providing maximum comfort.
Dentures can restore a natural-looking beauty to your smile, and help restore your self-confidence as well. Let our professional team create a custom set of removable dentures that look and feel great!
"Partials" are a removable partial denture consisting of a cast-metal framework with a resin base. Partials are used to restore multiple missing teeth within an arch. They are ideal for those with a mixture of existing and missing teeth. Partials not only bridge the gaps in your smile—they help protect your remaining teeth, too!
Fillings
At Anderson Rumpca Dental, we offer both tooth colored (composite) and silver (amalgam) fillings. We would be happy to discuss which filling material is right for you and answer any questions you might have. Fillings are an important part of your oral health as they can prevent larger problems such as cracked teeth or root canals.
Root Canals
Root canals (a.k.a. "endodontics") have received a lot of bad press over the years. However, with our sophisticated equipment and emphatic focus on your personal comfort, many of our patients agree that their experience was much better than anticipated—and for most patients, it's a welcome relief to the pain they had experienced prior to the procedure.
A root canal is required when the nerve and pulp tissue within a tooth becomes infected or inflamed. During the procedure, we will gently remove this tissue, disinfect and seal the area, apply a filling, and cap the tooth with a protective crown.
Still nervous about your root canal? You'll be happy to know that the doctors at Anderson Rumpca Dental can take care of you right in our office. We can also perform your root canal under sedation, if you desire.
Oral Surgery
Sometimes there are no other options than to extract – or remove – a tooth. If an extraction is required, the doctors at Anderson Rumpca Dental are highly trained at removing teeth – from baby teeth to wisdom teeth – with as little discomfort as possible. If you are extremely anxious about extractions, ask about our sedation dentistry. For more information about extractions, see our page on Oral Surgery.
